KIEM is a new theatre festival in Amersfoort that puts young professional theatre and film talent centre stage. For two days, the area around Theater Broedplaats Amersfoort is transformed into a platform for new makers, fresh stories, and unexpected encounters. From intimate performances to outdoor acts, from children’s workshops to evening programmes: KIEM is for anyone who loves theatre, culture, and immersive experiences.

A vibrant jam session where Afrobeat, funk, jazz, and Latin music come together in an open musical space filled with energy and improvisation. An eight-piece band with powerful percussion and tight horn arrangements creates an irresistible groove that invites you to join in, dance, and explore. Five worlds, one party! This year marks the 10th edition of Festifoort Festival, and it is definitely one you do not want to miss! Dance along at the tropical Super Zwoel stage, lose yourself in the hard beats of raw techno at On9ekend, choose the intimate vibes of the Strijkboutstage, feel the euphoria of pure house on the Mainstage, or immerse yourself completely in the dark rave atmosphere of AMO. Sietze de Vries is internationally active as a concert organist and church musician. He studied with Wim van Beek, Jos van der Kooy, and Jan Jongepier, specializing in improvisation. He has won fifteen prizes, including the Haarlem International Organ Improvisation Competition in 2002. He performs in concerts around the world and teaches at the Prins Claus Conservatorium. From Saturday, July 18 through Saturday, September 5, 2026, the Great Church will once again open its doors for the summer “Open Church” afternoons. Every Saturday afternoon, residents, tourists, and passers-by are welcome between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to admire the interior of this late medieval church. Hosts and hostesses will be present to share insights into the church’s rich history and to engage in conversations about the church and faith.
