From Saturday, July 18 through Saturday, September 5, 2026, the Great Church will once again open its doors for the summer “Open Church” afternoons. Every Saturday afternoon, residents, tourists, and passers-by are welcome between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to admire the interior of this late medieval church. Hosts and hostesses will be present to share insights into the church’s rich history and to engage in conversations about the church and faith.

Enjoy a delicious selection of tapas while live Spanish music and refreshing sangria take you on a flavorful journey. Experience the atmosphere of Spain without having to pack your bags! Doors open at 6:00 PM, event starts at 6:30 PM. The kitchen closes at 9:00 PM. Reservations can be made via the Strandhuys Nijkerk website.
